The Power of Observation

Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of the LORD? You have seen many things, but you pay no attention; your ears are open, but you do not listen.” - Prophet Isaiah

Many years ago, I developed the ability to spot opportunities that others hardly noticed and to position myself ahead of everyone else around me. I was unaware that someone close to me had observed this pattern. One night, this person came over to spend the night at my place and noticed that I would go out every evening to stare at the sky.
Curious, he asked me what I was doing. I explained that it was a habit my mother had instilled in me. She would make me gaze intently at the sky, attempting to count the stars. On many nights, I would tell her there were no stars. She would insist that I keep looking, and true to her insistence, I would eventually start to see one star, then several others, and would begin counting.
From that experience, I realized I could spot opportunities others missed. I took this ability for granted until I noticed that many people struggled to see what I saw. I sought to understand why and discovered that people often fail to learn from those they detest or disregard.
How often do we hear people say there is nothing to learn from someone who doesn’t share their beliefs?
I later learned the law of utilization, which states that God created all things for His pleasure. You hinder your progress if you don’t master how to utilize everything, He has placed around you to your advantage. I also realized that God often blesses someone around you with what you truly deserve to test your response. If you can be genuinely grateful for their blessings, you position yourself to receive the same. However, if you scorn or loathe them, you likely exclude yourself from such blessings.

• Who is living the life or achieving the results you seek?
• How can you study their patterns to understand how they produce these results?
• Will you be grateful for their success, or will you talk them down?
God has placed so much around you. Will you observe and utilize the principles to produce results, or will you keep analyzing and assuming they are using some other powers?

Assignment
Identify 10 people who currently enjoy some of the things you truly desire. Dedicate the next 10 days to being grateful for the results their solutions bring to humanity and publicly celebrate them.
